Vidya Balan to plane for an engagement with Siddharth Roy Kapoor?: Vidya Balan and her rumoured boyfriend Siddharth Roy Kapur are said to be thinking of getting engaged.

The actress has been spotted with the head honcho of UTV Motion Pictures on more occasion than one, thereby sparking the rumours that something is indeed brewing between them. The latest was their outing together on the sandy beaches of Goa. The duo was clicked in casual beach wear while holidaying together.

Apparently, Sid and Vid have been friends for some time since he stays in her neighbourhood.

But the couple are wary of being linked together because Siddharth’s divorce from his wife is yet to come through. Naturally, they are likely to play down the reports of their engagement.

Vidya’s spokesperson says just because Vidya is friendly with someone doesn’t mean she will get engaged to him.

We, however, will wait to see how this ‘love story’ unfolds.

Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai sequel: Kareena or Vidya as Mandakini!: As Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai sequel will roll soon, the hunt for the leading lady of the film, which stars Akshay Kumar in lead, is on. Top contenders likely to bag the role are Kareena Kapoor and Vidya Balan!

The sequel will show Akshay as a matured Dawood, the role essayed by Emraan Hashmi in the first part. As Dawood was allegedly linked with Mandakini, the makers are having trouble in finding the right actress to play her part in the film opposite Akki. It’s reported that Mandakini’s character needs a strong actress who can emote well on celluloid.

Now the speculations are rife that either Kareena or Vidya can be approached for the role. As per sources, Ekta Kapoor, the head of Balaji Motion Pictures, wants a top actress to play the lead. The production house is already working with Vidya in Dirty Picture and Kareena is quite close to Ekta and her brother Tusshar Kapoor.

Vidya Balan's no for strip for Hussain painting?: Vidya Balan has lately been in the headlines for allegedly her dare-to-bare-all decision for a nude painting by M F Hussain, whose latest muse she seems to have become.

However, the news has turned out to be incorrect as a source close to Vidya has strongly dismissed the report as a “fabricated” by people with vested interests.

Balan, who shot a topless pic for Dabboo Ratnani’s calendar without baring anything to the camera, has shocked many with her bold makeover recently. She is also doing Ekta Kapoor’s Dirty Picture in which she plays the south sex bomb Silk Smitha.

The role has Vidya exuding a lot of oomph without, again, baring anything on camera.

Thus far, no further. It seems Vidya has set limits to the skin-show.

Vidya Balan is playing a six-month pregnant woman in Sujoy Ghosh's Kahaani. To get into the skin of the character, she has called for a No Smoking ban on the set.

While the smokers on the set might resent her call for the ban, the director is maha pleased with her dedication.

Sujoy says, "She's really into the character. So much so that after a while she started freaking us out.

She started behaving like an expectant mother and wouldn't let anyone smoke in front of her.. and we were like.. huh? Pregnant!? Who? So I think for Balan once she is mentally there, physical bits are baaye haath ka khel."

The director might want to lookout for more clues of obsessing with the character. It might get really scary if she started eating for two, or started feeling morning sickness.

Ekta Kapoor’s production Dirty Picture might turn out to be a watershed moment in Vidya’s filmography. She plays the popular south sex bomb Silk Smitha in the film. Not only will Vidya will exude dollops of oomph in the film, she will also get intimate with actor Naseeruddin Shah.

We hear that Naseer plays a film producer who gets into a steamy and sexual relationship with Silk Smitha.
